Lyme Achieves Level 1 Rights Respecting School status.

Dear Mrs Cribb,

Achievement of Level 1

Thank you so much for hosting my colleague’s visit to your school last week and for making her so welcome. I saw Pat the following day and it was clear that she had thoroughly enjoyed the time she spent with you and were impressed by the way in which the Convention on the Rights of the Child is being brought to life in your school community.

Congratulations to all the pupils and adults of Lyme Community Primary School on achieving Level 1 of Unicef’s

Rights Respecting Schools Award

Please find attached your Level 1 assessment report which provides highlights of some of the great practice seen during the visit and offers a reminder of the steps suggested to support you in progressing to full RRS status at Level 2.

You will shortly receive an email from our London office which carries the official Level 1 logo. You can use this around school, on your letterheads and on your website. Your certificate will be printed and sent in the post. Please let me know if either does not arrive.

We will also add your school to the list of schools on our website that have achieved Level 1 – please let me know if you do not wish us to do that.

Well done again on achieving Level 1 and please pass on the thanks and congratulations of Unicef to all concerned. Particular thanks to Jo and her team of adults and children who have done so much to support this achievement.

With congratulations and best wishes,

Martin Russell
