Hi Reception! A huge thank you to everyone who joined in with last week’s number and sounds! Here are some things for you to do this week and make sure you get your parents to send them to me!
(You can send it to the school facebook page, email firstname.lastname@example.org, or upload it to their Evidence Me.)
Last week's superstars!
Well done to these children, thank you very much for sending some pictures and videos of the hard work you have been up to at home!
This week we will focus on the sounds ‘v’ and ‘ee’’.
Here are some videos to watch to help you practise ‘j’
I then want you to practise writing some ‘v’ words such as:
van, vet, vat, vest. Can you make up some alien words that use the ‘v’ sound? What about vup!
Then you need to think of a sentence that uses one of these words and have a go at writing it!
Here are some videos to help you practise ‘ee’
I then want you to practise writing some ‘ee’ words such as:
sleep, sheep, keep, beep, sheet, feet.
Then you need to think of a sentence that uses one of these words and have a go at writing it! “I need to sleep”
After this I want you to play dragons den https://new.phonicsplay.co.uk/resources/phase/2/dragons-den using the new sounds! (Click on phase 3).
Our number of the week is: 14.
And this week we will be looking at different ways to make 10. Remember we call these “number bonds”, and you can swap them around! (6+4 and 4+6 both make 10!)
And here is an extra challenge for the week (inspired after I saw one of our children doing some sign language already!)
If you are off school, here are some free learning resources you can use to keep your brain busy (ALONGSIDE DAILY READING!)
