Send My Friend to School Campaign

A huge well done to members of our fabulous Rights-Respecting Steering Group who led the whole school assembly on Friday around the 'Send My Friend To School' campaign. The theme for this year was for the children to think about school safety. They learned that 264 million children around the world are being denied their right education - linked to school safety  - and the UK government has not signed the declaration to support this yet. In class, the children made signs to persuade our Prime Minister to sign!

During the assembly, the groups talked to the children and staff about children's rights and presented our local MP, Mr Conor McGinn, with the sign, which he will be delivering to Teresa May. We will await her response!
