The Land Down Under

Date: 5th Jan 2017 @ 4:48pm

Today Year 2 have started to investigate Why is Australia Called The Land Down Under?

We have listened to the Australian National Anthem and we looked at some of the foods from Australia.  We did not fancy tasting the crocodile and emu meat so we made our own fairy bread instead - this is white bread, with margarine and sprinkes on.  This was yummy and most of us really enjoyed the fairy bread - in Australia young children have this at their birthday parties.  We also got to taste pavlova and Tim Tams.

It was a fun afternoon!
