Reception 2024 - 2025

Welcome to Reception
We are a class of four and five-year-olds - our teacher is Mrs McDermott and our Teaching Assistants are Mrs Necula and Vikki.

We do PE on a Monday and a Wednesday. We must wear our school PE kit on those days (a white t-shirt, red shorts/black joggers/leggings, our school jumper/cardigan and black pumps/trainers).
Reading books will be sent home on a Friday and should be returned the following THURSDAY. Children will also choose a library book to enjoy at home.

Throughout the year we will be learning lots of new things, such as how to become independent learners, how to develop and build up persistence, how to work together as a team, how to read and write confidently and to understand and work with numbers up to at least 20.

In our FS unit, Nursery and Reception children learn and play together sharing our well-resourced indoor and outdoor areas. The caring and experienced team aim to inspire awe and wonder in our children.
