Welcome to this year's Online Safety Ambassadors

Our Online Safety Ambassadors are a group of children (from Year 2 to Year 6) who work throughout the school to make sure that the children (and adults) know how to stay safe online.

Their main responsibility is the planning of and running of our Online Safety Week/Days throughout the year. They also help to raise awareness of Online Safety, help to communicate the pupil's voice and ensure that children know how to report a danger. For example, a suggestion from our previous Online safety ambassadors is a worry box in each classroom, so children can let us know if there is something bothering them when they go online.

Throughout the year, the ambassadors will be leading assemblies, teaching lessons and making videos to help the children (and parents) of Lyme. This year's group of ambassadors really want to focus on being kind online, age restrictions and use of social media. After our last meeting, they have each gathered pupil's ideas and opinions about Online safety in our school and will feed this back at our next meeting. This will help us plan our next steps.

Safer Internet Day is quickly approaching, so our Ambassadors are busy preparing for a whole school assembly. We will keep you posted of their progress.
